Amazon World has been conceived in the very Brazilian Amazon region, more precisely, on the banks of the Amazon River, in the heart of the State bearing the same name.
After knowing the beauty and diversity of the Amazonia handicraft, closer, we decided to gather what is best in the handicraft, art, among other aspects, of the whole region.
To accomplish our project, we went through all States of the Amazon region, in search of products that were ecologically correct, in harmony with environmental preservation, produced by communities or individuals of the very region, helping to generate and maintain work and income for them.
The products presented by Amazon World are not just beautiful. They are all hand made, with many stories full of affection, dedication and love for art and for the forest, such as the story of the Macuxi indigenous, in the State of Roraima, who need to walk about 15 km to get the clay which is brought to the community in fibre bags, on their back. An activity that, for cultural reasons, until nowadays, is performed only by the women.
Although we are intimately connected to the States of the Amazon region, not only for its art, but for the fact that the project conceiver was born in the State of Maranhão and lived for a few years in the States of Pará, Amapá and ultimately in the State of Amazonas, Amazon World is physically headquartered in the city of São Paulo (SP), as this capital gathers the best infrastructure conditions in the Country, to receive the products from the Amazon region and send them, within the shortest time possible, to every corner of the earth.
